How to properly report a cheater / farmer or potty mouth.

|
Sorry for not writing much lately. Let me assure you that this isn't because i lost interest but because real life was owning me for the past weeks!

I recently tried to report someone for the use of extremely violent threats towards another player and my request got denied. Needless to say, i was a little upset and angry because i had a screenshot and all that showed the person did say it. The facebook moderator who helped me told me what he needed to report and after i gave it some thought it made sense to me... one line of vulgar language doesn't give any context. I know this wasn't the case but the player who used the vulgar language could have been provoked, so the evidence wasn't sufficient.

So, you seen a hacker/potty mouth and now your seeking to get his ass banned. Well good for you but before you make a fool out of yourself, there is some things you need to know.

rules for reporting:

1: You need the cheaters nickname AND UserID. (Only a UserID will show ones true identity)
2: You need some evidence or material that shows illegal actions or reasonable doubt.
3: Never publicly report players. (contact the CW staff on Kong or Facebook in a PRIVATE!! message!!)

If the above rules are not met, no action is taken. (and point 3 could even get you in big trouble, especially on kongregate!)

common misconceptions about banning / cheating / etc.

- Very high score. This is not a hack but it's boosters, possibly the 500gp boosterpackage.
- Very high K/D. This is not a hack but a skilled player who has a tailor fit set of talents that make him even more deadly
- Very high kill count. This is not a hack but a skilled player.
- Tier 5/6 Premium gun on low levels. This is a person who either spend a whole lot of gp or more likely : someone who won it in roulette.
- Player doesn't die from head shots. This is lag (high pinger), shotguns, sniperrifles and other low firerate weapons are the first to suffer from this.
- Player knows where the enemy team is where it just spawned somewhere else. This is not a hack per se, many players know how to predict spawns.
- Player moves a number of meters. It looks like he rapidly moves from point to point. This is packet loss.

The above "could" be the result of hacking, but in 99.9% of all cases this is not the fact, thats why asking for a ban with one of the above reasons will result in nothing. Evidence or reasonable doubt is needed for any investigation.

Types of hacks and the chance of you encountering them:

Wallhack. very low probability, several wallhacks have been banned allready. ( http://vk.com/wall-21974398_5391 )
Radarhack. very low probability however these have been created and stopped so chances are that a new one could surface.
Aimbot. ZERO probability. I'm not saying that its not possible to create an aimbot, I'm just telling that it takes a whole lot more then some cheatengine tampering to create a working aimbot and so far not a single aimbot has surfaced.
Godmode. ZERO probability. The server determines whether you live or die, no client side hack can save you from the server's wrath!

So, you read and understand the above, now it's time to go out and be the games residential vigilante.

Console.

The console is accessed by pressing ~ or F8 while in the game. when you press it, a screen will drop down. The console has an event log, who says what and who kills who. There is 2 things you can use the console for.
1: Determine the UserID of a suspicious player. This can be done by entering the command; "list"
2: Catching someone who's using obscene language. the console shows the chatlog, screenshots of this log are needed for a report.

Screenshots.

The default key to make screenshots is f5. Many people have disabled CW from posting things on their facebook so in some cases we need other ways to make screenshots. The easy way is to press PrtScr on your keyboard while the game is NOT in fullscreen mode. Then a screenshot is added to your clipboard. You can open MSPaint and paste the clipboard-screenshot and save it. applications like lightshot, fraps and bandicam also allow you to make screenshots.

Movies - The best evidence is shown on video,

Well for starters screenshots will often do, but when you accuse someone of radar/wallhacking, movies will make much more sense. Screenshot's can not capture people having prior knowledge to the position of other players. Only a video of someone looking though walls, or other suspicious behaviour can expose someone.

Fraps and bandicam are widely used, and bandicam allows you to make video's without having to pay, but there are even more alternatives; http://www.frapsalternative.com/

#1 tip : Have your fraps/bandicam loaded at all times so when you see someone you dont have to switch back to windows and load it. (and possibly miss out on great evidence)

conclusion;

I admit, reporting someone does take the need for you to become Sherlock Holmes, but you can imagine that if someone is to be punished it calls for some discretion. CW staff wouldn't go out risk loosing a customer over a ban that's not backed by solid evidence.

The inevitable IWI X95 review

|
First of all i have to admit to you that for the purpose of reviewing the X95 i have unlocked the W-Task of the X95 by buying it. (The W-task of the x95 is only 30 Triples so it's easy enough, but i was too impatient and the unlock was pretty cheap.

The X95 is rumoured to outperform the P90 Devgru. The fact that the Devgru has reappeared on VK does suggest that the developers now feel that the Devgru has a good credit counterpart. Let us compare the stats of the weapons. (I'm comparing the tasked x95 with the devgru)

Accuracy.

x95 wins by a hair.

Recoil.

Devgru is the obvious winner, but still has 12 recoil. What does this tell us? Well, if you got firestab, the x95 would probably cause it to kick in more rapid, thus in case of firestab, x95 should be favourite. If like me you don't use firestab you will have to become either a burstmaster or instead use the Devgru.

Damage.

WAIT WAT?..X95 beats the Devgru by a whole 10 points? Unbelievable.

Firerate.

P90 wins by a hair. BUT, taking the extra damage of the x95 in consideration, the X95 wins in terms of dps.

Mobility.

Devgru wins but the x95 doesn't feel sluggish so that will not spoil the fun.

Reload speed.

Again the x95 wins.

Ammo capacity.

Both have the same number of magazines, but the devgru has 20 bullets/mag more, making the Devgru the better choice for ammo preservation for prokills.

Penetration.

And yet again; the x95 wins, so if headshots are not your thing, then x95 it is.

Range.

Well...x95...holy shit, i cant even grasp, just look at this. the Range of the x95 simply RAPES that of the devgru. Where the devgru ends, the X95 is only starting to drop down.

Collimator.

This is not a stat but for the purpose of comparing these weapons i have to say the the collimator on the x95 is a mepro sight. Some love it but due to its enormous red dot it's not very fit for sniping med range distances. Furthermore, Mepro sights conflict with thermal vision, making it even harder to aim. IMO the collimator on the devgru is way more accurate and wins by far.

In conclusion,

In terms of damage the x95 is better then the devgru and i think it's safe to say that the devgru has gotten some serious competition from a credit gun. This is a victory for all freeloaders and froobs and making the "GPguns are OP"- whinage irrelevant!

Orgy out!

My Skillbuild

|
Currently there is a post on the Contract Wars facebook group in which a player explains his skill build and the Contract Wars staff is daring people to post theirs. Well, i completely disagree to the skill build in the video and i will share and explain my skill build.

My main philosophy behind my skill build is :

-Main hand first / Offhand is not important.
-Make sure you can hit someone (ACC / REC)
-Hit Someone harder (DMG)
-Make sure someone does not kill you (+Health +Armor +utility)
-Make life more comfortable (Faster reload speed, more mobility, extra bullets)

(I'm usually playing aggressively with either AsValMod3 or noveske silenced. It's AR's for me, no snipers, no shotguns, no LMG's. just AR's and sometimes SMG's)

Scout tree :

My scout tree is pretty plain, i like the 3 mobility and +5 reload speed. I'd love to go further into the scout tree but this would cause reload speed of some of my weapons to become too low because of the destroyer skill that increases your reload speed for slow weapons. The pistol part of the scout tree to me is BS, if i had an endless supply of SP, I'd gladly spend it here but i do most of my killing with my main hand weapon, so investing in an offhand improvement is useless to me.

most important skills : none, they are all utility and not mandatory.

Assault tree :

The Assault tree is also my class, so most of my skill points are invested in this tree. You can see i work my way down to the AS Val MOD3 but skip the skill that reduces falling damage. The best solution to prevent falling damage is : DON'T FALL. You don't need a frigging skill that saves your ass from taking damage for a mistake you shouldn't have made in the first place. When you learn your maps, you will learn safe ways to drop down and not take damage so this skill is useless.
As for the armor. I think 60 armor is sufficient to have. I have 40 armor but another 20 armor from clanskills so that's why i took 20 less armor from the scout tree after my last respec.

most important skills : -5 recoil / damage buffs.

Destroyer tree :

I spend SP in the destroyer tree for 2 main purposes: Getting more ammo for prokills and even more important -15 recoil.
Odd things about my build : I don't use a lot of grenades, but i think damage reduction for grenades is a lifesaver so i unlocked that and invested 3 more sp in order to get the grenade. If in a future skill reset i desperately need 3 extra skill points, then i will drop the grenades.
Another oddity is the absence of Firestab. I believe everyone when they say that Firestab rules. But still i don't unlock it. Why? Firestab promotes spraying, if i get this to PWN in Contract Wars, i may become a sprayer and handicap myself in future fps games I'm going to play. So no firestab for me. I might one day take it tho and if you are flexible then you should really consider taking it.

Most important skills : -7 rec / -15 Recoil / additional ammo.

Sniper tree :

To me the most important skill is in the sniper tree: + 15 Accuracy. The +15 accuracy is my main goal in the sniper tree as this is mandatory for getting your guns to 100 accuracy. The dynamic shooting skill is on the path to +15 accuracy, it's nice and this skill causes me to always walk when i fire for more accuracy. The sniping operator skill (faster switching to sights) is on the path too, but i wouldn't call this an important skill. Now, i took the attention I skill because it rocks. When you take fire, you will see from what direction you've been hit. This may not sound useful at first but once you get to know this skill...you will rely heavily on it. It rocks.

Most important skills : +15 Accuracy / +7 Accuracy

Gunsmith tree :

As for the gunsmith tree : screw everything besides the updates to the right. True, 25 mortars can be useful, but these don't match my game style for the same reason as i don't use grenades...i forget that i have airstrikes waiting ;) Now those little skills to the right are your ticket to tweak your guns just that extra bit. I took just enough of these skills to get most of my weapons to my desired 100/1 status.

Most important skills : The skills that can make your main hand go 100/1, no more, no less.

To clan or not to clan: Stuff to think about before starting a clan.

|
So you want to be a clan leader? You want to have the best damn clan Contract Wars has to offer? Well hold on to your horses for one moment here and think about some things first. Starting a clan is easy, but building one is hard. In fact, keeping it progressing and growing will be a real challenge!

The most important thing before you sign up your own clan is to realise that it is currently not easy to delete your clan. If your clan fails, for whatever reason, then the only speedy option to end it is to make someone else (or an alt) clan leader and leave the clan. Signing over leadership will cost you 50 GP BUT since you can transfer 200gp MINIMUM to the clan's account, it will take 200GP to be able to leave your clan. If you don't have access to GP, then you can send a pm to the contract wars staff on Facebook or Kong with your IGN (in game name / nickname), your Player ID and a screen shot that proves that you are the clan leader. This method is free, but clan disbanding is a low priority thing to the developers so it can take a long time before your request is honoured. If you cannot buy GP then i would strongly urge you to think the whole clan idea over thoroughly and possibly join an existing clan.

I have been a clan leader in many games, i had good clans, bad clans and even amazing clans yet i found starting and building a Contract Wars clan many times more difficult then every other game i have previously played. Eventually i felt my efforts were wasted and i left my own clan to join OhMy. A decision i will not regret as OhMy offers me everything i was trying to establish with my clan in the first place (being amongst skilled and more important : dedicated players). So i kinda failed as a clan leader, and i had the GP to correct the mistake. The reason i write this topic is not to demotivate you but to make sure you know what your getting into.

Main question you have to ask yourself : Is "being the boss" really the most important aspect of the game to you or is being amongst cool, possibly like minded people more important? Even though my personal status was not the reason i founded a clan, I'm man enough to admit that being in an existing clan gives me infinite more pleasure then when i was struggling to get my own clan going.

Currently there's over 6000 clans, and IMO, at least 5500 of them will not make it, you think you can make a difference? Possibly you will but remember..at least 99% of these clans would also recruit your target audience...making the competition extremely hard.

Fact : People want clan skills, people want to level, no one is happy about donating and yet almost everyone demands clan skills.
As a clan leader the above is something you have to deal with every day. people come and go because when they join, don't see any skills and leave just as hard.

The cheapest clan skill is roughly 4mil clan credits and if you go and look at the clan rankings in CW you will notice that clans with "possibly" 1 clan skill start to appear in the top 150. Meaning you will have to collect about 4-5 million XP before you get a single skill!. Clans with more then 1 skill start appearing in the top 100 and clans who offer more, if not most skills are limited to the top 20.

now take a look at the top 20, these clans have multiple skills. Sure, clans like OhMy, 1337 and FEAR are recruiting players with higher then average skill only but there are also top 20 clans that are not that strict. (Figa etc.) Do take into consideration that if you want to have access to clan skills, you can join a top20 clan.. it's not impossible to get there but it will be a huge obstacle in getting your own clan going (why would anyone settle for your clan when they can have skills already?).

Are clan skills that important?
Before i joined OhMy i would say no, but now i got access to some clan skills i have to say yes, as my game has improved quite a bit so yeah...Clan skills are not groundbreaking, and without them i wouldn't suck either but they sure are nice to have access to. So don't blame people for wanting access to clan skills instead of helping you to get them for your clan. It's only human nature.

My personal opinion on starting a CW Clan : Don't start a clan unless you already represent a group of people on which you can count to donate both XP,CR and also GP! For example A number of DR members split from DR to form LeGcW, the reasoning behind this is their business but they started as a group with a clear goal and currently are in the top 20 already. Together they achieved this in an amazing tempo. Same goes for clan RONIN, disbanded, reformed and top 20 already

Another option could be a national clan. If CW becomes popular in your country, then chances are people will want to join a national clan. Clans like IND, PINOY, FiTH, ARABS, ITALY, OGG can rely on the fact that people of their countries would want to join them to be amongst country(wo)men.
In fact...national and regional Clans make up the larger part of the top 50 clans! Do the math..profit!

Also : Never start a clan for your desired status. People want to invest time into friends and family and not to make you the coolest guy in CW.

Conclusion : Don't think too lightly of starting a clan, if you're sure you got what it takes then by all means ; proceed but if there's only a spark of doubt in you : DON'T and think it over really hard. This may sound harsh, but think of this : I'm level 63, and if i didn't attempt to start a clan, i would have been level 65 by now! (that's the amount of xp i wasted on my attempt!)

Gold Contract #7 : 20 doublekills with the Glock18

|
So, contractor, you thought doing some rage kills in old sawmill was hard? Well, then you haven't met this contract yet.

Gold contract #7 will most likely be in your list unfinished for some time. Is it hard? yes, but it's doable. Mind you, this is the first contract that is very, very tempting to start farming, but don't.. I've got quite some footage of people farming this Glock contract. it's a hard contract but it's nothing to risk a ban for.

The Glock.

The Glock is a sweet pistol, and it has an amazing firing speed and omgwtflike mobility, however, it's damage is very low, so killing someone with a full clip can be done easily, but killing 2 people with one magazine is a challenge. So for this contract, it's head shot or fail time.

Also, the Glock is a premium gun, making this contract a very good way to loose your precious GP on. My advice, if you want to spend GP on the game, buy the Glock...if you don't, Do this contract only when you have a lot of time to play. Worst case scenario is that you spend 5+ hours to complete this contract.

How to make this contract a little more easy?, Credit players can only suffer through this, GP players should really consider renting the contract expert skill, as this will lower the count to 10 double kills. Renting the extra grenade can be helpful as well.

Maps.

To me there are 3 maps that are most suited for the job; Evac, Bay5 and Station. In Evac many spawns happen right in front of you. True, spawn killing isn't the most Honourable thing to do, but farming is a lot less Honourable. Bay 5 is good for a different tactic: toss a grenade, hope you kill someone and kill someone with the Glock. (for a double kill only the weapon that does the second kill counts) Station can be done by camping the roof, throwing a grenade into a spawn point and then shoot someone (and hope the grenade kills a freshly spawned player). Station sadly is only played on lower levels, you will find nearly no filled high level servers.

The best tip i can give you however : Equip only your Glock when you go into the game. When your KD drops, you might be tempted to switch to another gun, having only a Glock prevents this. Oh...and do head shots...nothing but head shots.

Another tip ; this is for the credit players : When you finish the contract, keep playing the Glock, and finish the Glock 200 head shots achievement. It's only a 7000cr reward, but it's probably your only chance on getting this achievement.

Well..no pretty camp spots and pictures for this post, you'll just have to endure this one.

Orgy out!

PS, got to admit, this is the first post on which i noticed a spell checker included in blogger, i hope you appreciate the decreased amount of typo's

Wtasking the Noveske.

|
( disclaimer : since my last topic on prokills, i've done a total of 42 pro's , i now know how to do them regularly but 42 still doesn't make me an expert on the matter! )

Despite many people calling the noveske a noobweapon i have to admit that it is my favorite gun. I got a Noveske, tasked, and i love it. Do you think i'm a noob for using it : Be my guest! I like it and i really disagree to the noobstatus of the gun. The stats on the noveske are good, but not even close to OP and even now that the ACR-C is getting more popular then the noveske...i still love it.

Funny thing is, i remember the first time when i encountered the noveske and from that point on i wanted one. The first time i got killed by a noveske was on bridge and i think i was level 10-20. Some guy had the tasked one and he was camping his spawnpoint but none of my (allso lowlevel) teammates was able to kill him. At some point i thought "imma gonna grab that gun of yours and stick it up your behind" and when the match ended i left the game and went looking for it on the webz.

The second i reached level 50, i bought it and it was not even a bonus, so badly i wanted one. Shortly thereafter i found out that the noveske wasn't actually a wonderweapon. Sure it's mobility and reloadspeed was amazing but i plainly sucked with it because i kept loosing visual on targets when using the collimator. Boy did i suck..

Now, my heart nearly stopped when i read about the 15 prokill wtask, how was i ever supposed to do that? and i gave up on the WTASK idea.... untill one day i was doing a great match with my P90Devgru on Evac. By that time i had gained a little more insight in the game and i was allready burstfiring the Gru. Suddenly during that match i managed to make a prokill, and after that match, i noticed the same people still hanging around, so i thought ; can i do this with the noveske as well? To my big suprise i did. Not only did i get a prokill on my noveske, i allso managed to do 2 prokills on the same day. For the first time in my carreer. That was the moment i thought : i'm going to task it!

It took me some time figuring out how to operate it correctly but when i did i succeeded more and more but still it took me quite a while and i have to admit : My first prokill in OhMy, was the last prokill needed for the WTASK. Since then i done some adjustments in the gunsmith tree and now i love it even more. In fact, if you see me using something other then the Noveske on EVAC, then you know that i'm finding much resistance and i'm finding alternative ways to improve my KDR.

Now recently Contractor "Tovarich" posted this request in the comments so i be happy to share some of my experiences with it :

"I'm not a bad player (lvl 59), I have a positive kdr (growing) but I am unable to do prokills with noveske :/
Could you give me some tips or tricks to try to get it? I love the noveske and I think greatly improve performance if I can do the noveske task. (Plz, forgive my bad english!)"

Do read my guide on prokills as well! But also realise that Doing a prokill with the noveske is no different then making a prokill with the M4a1..so when you think doing a prokill with a gun like the Noveske is easy, then your wrong.

#1 stats.

When attempting prokills with the noveske you want it to have stats like in the above picture. 98 Accuracy and 9 Recoil are a must. If you have lower accuracy or higher recoil, you will be wasting a lot of precious ammunition! Besides ACC and REC, you will have to unlock BOTH damage upgrades from the Assault tree and the 2x extra magazine skill from the destroyer tree. If your stats dont match the picture then you might want to browse THIS blog for my topic on a "good" skillbuild

#2 Sidearm.
The Noveskes ammo is limited. With the 2 bonus magazines Destroyer skill you get 7 mags. 7x30= 210 bullets. 210 bullets/20 kills = 10.5 bullets you can use per kill. 10.5 sounds like more then enough, but when playing, you will sometimes panic, you will miss, someone will steal your kill, so 10.5 per kill is not a whole lot. Therefor, sometimes you will have to use your sidearm as well. What Sidearm you choose is totally up to you, but you will have to choose the one that you can rely on to make kills. I prefer the GSH, but during my WTASK-sessions i switched to my glock18, because the glock needs prokills as well, and i tend to end up wit no ammo for my Noveske every now and then. So i when i screwed up my ammoconsumption i made some lucky prokills for my glock as well.

#3 Bursts.
When you want a tasked noveske, your days as a sprayer will have to end. 10.5 bullets per kill remember? So : No firestab for you!, control yourself, and take time to learn how to burst! This will take quite a toll on your KD ratio but from now on you will have to fire in bursts. Take time to practice killing people with as small bursts possible..

(HERE's a video showing when to burst, when to spam and when to use semi auto. I gotta admit, i don't use
semi auto, because i end up using the same amount or even more ammo then a burst to kill someone. Furthermore, try to make your burst count and do practice to do them as short as possible)

Another reason to burst is the fact that the noveske has no silencer (duhh) and is pretty noisy. Firing in small bursts will make you harder to find.

#4 Gold.
You can opt to rent some skills to make it less hard to do a prokill. You can rent additional DMG buffs and the "W-TASK expert" skill from the Carreerist tree is usefull too (when your allready familiar with doing prokills). I rented it at some point. Sadly, now i'm improving, i think i wasted money on that one because prokills come more easy now.

#5 Map's
I did my prokills on either Parkside or in EVAC. (OSM is a good option too but i dont know OSM like i do EVAC)

Doing prokills in parkside means 0-70 parkside, hoping you're among all level 0's and when theres high level players, you either make them ragequit or avoid them. (Sounds easier then it is, but you get used to it.) At all times; remember that you're here for prokills and not to get your ass kicked by people from topclans. When theres too much resistance..move to another server. Even if you get no prokills, you will recover from your KD drop from your bursting adventures in here pretty fast.

Doing Prokills in EVAC means 20-70 or 30-70 EVAC and hoping your team doesnt suck. In evac you will ignore the vips and your team. Is your team defending the paths to the chopper?...is the enemy trying to rush the stairs to the chopper?... good, you be standing near the garage, shooting them from behind. Your team are not your buddies, your team is an instrument which you use to gain an advantage. Flank the enemy and dont be where the action is. Your a wolf, dont run into the herd to snatch a sheep, stay on the outer edges of the map, scooping up stray sheep. (20-70 evac attracts a lot of high end gamers wanting to do some noobstomping...30-70 can often be more effective in getting prokills)

#6 Aiming
The collimator on the Noveske sucks, its way to small and its possible to loose visual on your target. In other words you can loose someone when looking at him. When you have stats like mentioned in #1, you will find that the crosshair of the Noveske is dead-accurate as well, so in theory you can forget about using the collimator. Personally i use the collimator only on near-stationary targets in longer ranges. So, you are camping the area with the chopper in evac and someone is camping the garage roof? if he's not covering behind the sandbags, the crosshair will do, but when he's crouching behind the sandbags and only the top of his head sticks out, then the collimator can be an option. Also : when firing allways press the shift (walk) key for extra accuracy.

#7 Clanskills
Having access to thermalvision or extra magazines, more armor and such can make your life a lot more easy, so if you have access to those, be thankful. That being said, i did only my last prokill needed to finish the task when i was in OhMy, the rest of the kills i did with only the +5 health clanskill. So clanskills; nice but not mandatory.

In conclusion:

If you want to task the noveske (or do prokills with any other gun), you need time to really study how you can improve, what are your strongpoints and weaknesses. It's not just a matter of loading a map and start doing prokills, it's about adjusting to the guns weaknesses in order to maximise your performance and you will notice that once you start getting prokills, they will happen more and more and take less effort.

Furthermore, prokills are a game within a game...think about it, when it's prokills your after, you will have to play the game different. When playing this little game; teams become tools, Vip's become beacons, and you will have to find ways to use and abuse players that are doing their regular thing.

Getting the noveske tasked will take time and is difficult at first but : If i can do it, so can you!

Orgy out!

Gifts.

|
Contractor!

One thing that is very obvious by now; the internet is full of greedy, demanding people.

Everytime Contract Wars is making a milestone and is throwing in gifts, the whole community is like "GIMME FREE GP...5000...1000...FREE GP..i nedd fre GPZzz for nveskeplz....GIMMEGIMME"

For these milestones, all you had to do is press the "like" button, that's it, 1 click and your done doing your part. Now, pressing the like button, is that something worth GP? Really?

Now lets take a look at the word "gift" in the dictionary : "something voluntarily transferred by one person to another without compensation" in other words, you get something thats initiated by the giving party... Odd thing is, no amount of GP will make people happy, while our dad's are the most happy people on earth when you give them their yearly set of birthday socks. Life lesson : be thankful for whatever it is you get!

This week, the milestone of 400k likes was reached, and the GP whining started for the Nth time, last time we got 50gp and i don't expect any gp gift higher then this to be given ever again.

Q: Why no (big) GP gifts? Is is because the devs are asses?
A: No, i really think that the devs wouldn't mind giving a couple of 100 gp for free. It's players who are the asses. For example; a 200gp gift. Most people would say "jeezguyse thnx for teh gp" ... but a smaller part of the community thinks " 1x new character=100gp, 100gp+200gp=300gp...100x new character=30000gp .. now lets start a new clan and make 100 new characters" ... well, stuff like this will happen .. Do you still think free GP is a good idea?

SP gifts would be nice as well, but the devs are allready working on redesigning SP that can be bought or gained via the now gone "skill specialist" skill. Purpose of this probably is to make sure every player, paying or not, should have access to the same SP pool, so skill cannot be bought. A SP gift now, would mean a disadvantage to players who start lateron, so i doubt you will ever be given SP. (perhaps 1...roulette wheel can do it as well)

Now what would be good gifts? (this is purely speculation from my own perspective.)

* Xp buff for a limited amount of time. (i hope to see more of these. Last christmas's double xp was sweet as hell)
* Free carreerist buff (well minus the profile blocking =) )
* Free Skillresets (optionally with 100% gp or even cr refund.)
* A new map. (Do gifts have to be something you can physically own or would any token of appreciation do?)

I dont think giving free weapons away is a good gift, one player gets a P90Devgru, and the other gets the pmm12. Don't get me wrong here, the pmm12 is a sweet little pistol but, you can imagine a lot of dissapointment.

Anyway, whatever it is, i'm thankful for it. The pm gift we received last time cracked me up so hard that i kept on lolling at all the dissapointed and angry comments...this was one of the best gifts EVER.

Orgy out.
