DSA SA58 OSW / SA58 AP review

|
HAI THAR CONTRACKTORZ...clan race is done and I'm back.

Project oOZe part2 will be next up but right now the DSA SA58 OSW / SA58 AP review

In the past month, 4 guns have been announced, the DSA SA58 OSW / SIG MPX / Uzi PRO and the Thor but sadly only the Uzi and the SA58 made it in. The Sig MPX was announced first so why it isn't in game, i dunno, perhaps copyright issues or maybe they are saving this one for the Weapon Customisation updates next year. (which seems more likely..)

Since i already have all guns, i only needed to wait 1 day to buy the DSA SA58 OSW for 50% discount \o/ yay \o/. Also, the wtask for this baby is 60 Stormkills, so i rented Wtask mastery as well. This means; i had to do only 30 stormkills and it took me about 8 hours to task it. (did most of the tasking in deathmatch) (and yeah.. yeah..before anyone starts bitching : Some FFA did happen but only when there were no regular parkside/station rooms available)

Note : i did 30 stormkills quite easily with this one but 0 prokills have been made...and that is not because i suicided at 10... it just didn't happen!

The stats.

Disclaimer : The stats are based on my skillbuild which is posted a couple of posts down. Different skillbuild means different stats. Also you can see i have +30 Penetration rented. I did *not* task my SA58 with this buff active, i rented it the moment i heard x2 experience was live on the servers. My wtask was complete before that. (shame...tasking would take me even less time having this buff) evidence here bitch =)

Looking at the stats you can tell this is once again a gun which is closely related to the mk14 EBR CQB and the DT MDR.  (high damage and accuracy but also high recoil and lesser mobility then regular assault rifles. Meaning, this is a mid range weapon designed for "sniping" without real need to use the ironsight/collimator.

First thing i noticed is that just like the AK12 and the MK14 EBR CQB that this gun is weak at close range due to it's recoil. Also firestab is probably a must for this weapon. A clan member of mine who is a lot better player then me but didn't have firestab had difficulty getting stormkills. And in a terminal 2 session, someone accused everyone of having tons of armor because he didn't hit anything.
So yes, at close range, if you don't hit your target in your initial burst, you will miss a lot.
Now the funny thing is : I tasked this weapon on Station mostly. that's about as close combat as you can get and still i done stormkill after the other. Sure, i used my 3 grenades, my mortars and i did some serious spamming with it but Task done. (station is one of my favourite maps and also one of the few maps i can get high k/d ratio while others keep a low k/d)

The wtask.

After 60 (or 30) stormkills you will receive an aimpoint collimator like the Untasked Scar-H. It's the same, however the positioning of the collimator makes it appear smaller then the Scar-H. The SA58 AP does not come with a silencer which is imo quite a dissapointment but since customisation will appear next year, this gun can become a tailorfit killingmachine.  ( Scar H ) /  ( SA58 AP )

With the proper Talentbuild, this is how your tasked SA58 AP will look like :

100 Accuracy. The difference between the 85Acc untasked version and the 100Acc tasked version is quite noticeable. the SA handles a lot nicer.
22 Recoil. This is noticeable, but it does mean Firestab will kick in somewhat later.
70 Damage. No silencer - no damage loss and still only 10 points less damage then the MK14 EBR CQB
58 Firerate. This allows us to calculate dps and It's dps is quite less then the MK14 EBR CQB and a roughly the same dps as the DT MDR.
83 Mobility. Same as the MDR, A lot more then the MK14 (but that penetration range and dps need to come at a price)
88 Reload speed. The highest of all mentioned guns. One thing i like about this gun as reloads get you killed!
Range and damage drop are worse then the MK14 but the same as the MDR.
30 round magazine  This is 10 bullets more then the MDR and the MK14.. <3

Edit, check this awesome 60 fps video which was featured on the official cw page, this will show you what this baby can do :

Conclusion.

This gun rocks and hipfires perfectly but when aimed through its collimator, it's über. The stats are lower then my beloved MK14 EBR CQB but the mobility makes this gun a much more viable endgame gun. It rocks... but it rocks about just as hard as the DT MDR so IMHO if you already have the MDR even untasked, skip this one. For now.  (unless you like the MDR but dislike it's 20 round mag)

I said for now, because it is very obvious that this gun is meant to be customised. The small collimator will probably generally be replaced by a 4x assault scope and possibly also a silencer should be equipped. Then...but only then you will have a true custom killing machine. But until then this is one of them "shines in the right hands" type of guns.

All in all, it is an awesome gun which imo shines in med/long range and my even cause a lot of ASval MOD3 players to make a switch to this baby. In the future the gun will become better with customisation so if you want to have a gun from this type you can opt for this one (no silencer / tedious but easy task) or the DT MDR (silencer but less bullets and brutal task) ...

Your choice.

Orgy out!

Illuminati Confirmed.

Today, undisputable evidence has been found that CW is in fact Illuminati!

Hey, as you know there is a clan race going on...that's why I'm not writing a lot now. Not that i am much use to my clan because of my shoulder (Been doing roughly 500k xp where i hoped for at least 2 mil)

In the meanwhile, i got a riddle for you.. let's see how pro you are. I respecced into this test build and I'm soooo totally in love with it that i don't care for the loss of +10 range, and the loss of ACC to silencers (for my sr3m), can you tell what I'm hoping to achieve?

Answer : highlight (select with mouse, nab) the following to see my answer :

I was kinda aiming to get the best of both worlds; stay assault class and profit from thermals on close range and blinkies from Attention III on long range.
I tested it on lake and got called a hacker within 3 kills, exposing a camper on the small island. Thermals did not reveal him...thermals+his blinkie did..(yes gents...blinkies AND thermals)
Then i tested it on Lighthouse with my noveske. Saw blinkies, aimed and boom dead..without ever seeing who and where he was. (think this will add more cents to the "omg hacker shotted me from godknowswhere" -discussion.

First impression of my new build : I'm so ridiculously fucking in love with it. Amazing. i <3 Blinkies!

Well, see you in a couple of days, when i return with Project oOZe part 2 and yet another post about the latest hacks.

New Gun Announced. Devs starting to work towards weapon customisation?

|
Hey there,

I just read on VK, that one of the new guns that will be added will be the SIG MPX Submachine gun.

I was silently hoping for the SIG 551 to be added but looking at the gorgeous screenshots of the MPX, i think i will settle for this one instead.

Now, this could of course be gun #1001 but when you google for Sig MPX you will find that IRL this is a gun with a twist. The special thing about this is it's ability to be modified in many ways. Just take a look at this here kickass video.  (It's unlisted so blogger will not allow me to paste the player in this blog :/ )  :  HERE

This gun can attach accessories, different barrellenghts and even different caliber!

Could this be the lead-in to the weapon customisation option and will modification be this advanced? we can only speculate but choosing this gun over the sig 551 does suggest the devs mean business.

Attention the following are pure speculations and should in no way be treated as anything but a noobs opinion!

Only screenshots have been released so lets do some public speculating. Tier? Credit? GP? ... i'll throw in my 5cents publicly and possibly be all wrong, I dare you to throw your speculations in the comments.

Credit or gp? I dont know, Tier 2,3,4 lack GP SMG's so it could very well be in one of these tiers, but since the devs are flirting more and more with the idea of CR weapons with GP-like stats with high repair costs  (To push making them unbreakable) does also seem to be a good possibility.

What tier?  Assuming the game's layout will not change then the gun cannot be a tier 3-6 credit weapon because all slots are filled already.  Also tier 1 allready has 2 credit smg's, so the tier 2,3,4 GP idea would be more suitable.

My speculation? Cr or GP don't matter but i hope this gun will be available at lower levels (level20 or so to prevent easy farming of wtask/mods) and will get stronger as you level and unlock further down the modification tree for this gun. Perhaps even increase caliber, mobility or damage.  Wishful thinking perhaps because 1 gun that sticks with you all along does seem odd for a free-to-play model game

Anyway, this gun has my full attention and i'm eager to see what the devs have in store for us!

Oh, one more thing, on VK it was also announced that the VK roulettewheel has been tweaked and now offers 3 times less chance on nothing and more chance on weapons/skill and even gp. I hope these changes will also be added to the fb/kong roulette.

FREE GP for Kongregate Players.

|

Someone pointed out on the Kong Forums that Kongregate users are able to earn 30Kredz via a promotion from the game "Global Assault" These 30 kredz will buy you 200+100 GP on your Kong Account. If you haven't bought any GP before : then the 200gp will be doubled so in effect you could get up to 500gp + the glock17 for free. Yes princess, this, plus the generous 10gp daily bonus could allow you to purchase those 10 extra skillpoints or even a high end premium gun!!

The post has been locked and the content was deleted (Probably because the players over at Facebook are missing out on this offer since it is not a CW promotion) but as far as i can see this is a totally legit offer and is not limited to use in the Global Assault game. In fact the page itself says : "The free Kreds can be utilized in any game on Kongregate.com that supports Kreds purchases."

For this offer you need to be in the possession of a Mobile device (phone or tablet) that runs on Either IOS or Android!

You can read all about : HERE

Be Warned, this offer expires on December 4 at 11:59pm PST.

Project "o0Ze" aka project SP whore. (part 1)

|
One way of getting SP is by farming, the other way is to exploit bugs when they arise. Either way, you get a months vacation at best when caught.

Soo, there are a lot of people who have more Sp then they should and the devs don't really seem to care. Perhaps you were lucky and had the skill mastery buff or was able to do easy contracts when there were 0-70 servers but if you didn't and you are level 60 already, well you are royally fucked, contract-wise

In the past, the developers allowed a major gap to be opened between the old generation of players and the new generations.

1st generation is supposed to have access to 1 extra Sp, which is no longer available.
1st generation was "allowed" to farm.. yes, rules about that did not exist for a while. Not everybody did..but many got their contracts completed this way.
1st generation had access to the "skill mastery" skill which would allow many people to have a realistic advantage of 12-13 Sp more then you.
1st/second generation was able to easily do contracts on 1-70 maps. (I'm lucky enough to do many contracts this way)
A short while ago, when contracts were made somewhat more easy, contracts did not refresh, instead once completed you got the Sp, and the next day for some days you got the same contract again. Needless to say, several people payed 50gp over and over again to issue new contracts and managed to get sick amounts of SP this way and not a single thing was done to correct this bug.

Some of the above issues had to be fixed, and some were fixed because of the well being of the game. Anyone with a few braincells would understand. But what is impossible to understand is that there was never a correction in Sp. Never have the developers thought;  "hey but taking all this away is not fair to the newer players, lets find a way to correct this. Sure, at one time it was mentioned that the skill trees would be overhauled and the SP issue would be corrected by giving this to other players, but that was a long time ago and nothing has been heard of it ever since.

Okay, so far my rant, now for some more constructive text.

Like i said, after level 60, your contract progress will most likely stall because of all pro players and stacks preventing you as average player to make pro kills and such. So, the solution, easy enough is to stay <60 for as long as possible. Forget about boosters, forget about levelling fast...drop 75% into a clan and keep your level low.

I would advise anyone to do this when they did not reach level 60 yet. No exceptions.

Now out of this advice i came to think:  How would the itself game react to using this method from the very start of your career so i present to you :

Project oOZe.

Meet o0Ze, o0Ze is my alt. o0Ze is in clan 6six6, you may have heard of this clan, as this is my failed attempt to start a clan. 6six6 however was never disbanded but stored on an alt. You are free to join me (with your alt's) in 6six6 (rank 3600ish) to dump your Sp, but don't expect 6six6 to be one social extravaganza...it's just a tag and a way to dump SP. My heart and loyalty lie only with OhMy

The purpose of o0Ze is to get as much SP as possible before dinging 60. and i will keep you informed on the progress he makes and the obstacles he encounters while playing for SP.

First : in order to maximise all effort in collecting SP, it is almost mandatory to BUY GP. if you want the most, you will need to maximise your input. This is all about noobstomping and investing in even more edges on everyone else. Also, on an alt, you will have to play for contracts, play for progress, not for lulz.

So, i created o0Ze, bought 2000gp, which became 4000gp and immediately bought me 10 skillpoints. I also joined 6six6 immediately.

From 1-10 you are not able to donate to your clan so as of level 10 i donated 75% to the clan. (this is not about the clan, this is about dumping as much XP as possible)

My first obstacle occurred at level 13, where i had to do gold contract #6 : Kill 50 players of l20+ with pistols. There are no maps of that level range so i had to either pay GP in order to skip that contract or buy hardcore early access (30gp). I chose to do the latter. (funny thing is that i managed to win several matches as a l13 player among better equipped high level players.)

The second obstacle was level 16 itself. at 16 you will be able to join 16-40 servers only and at this moment you will encounter more grenades and even armor. Things get somewhat tricky now for a number of levels.

The third obstacle occurred at level 16, where i had to do silver contract #9, 5 headshots on l40+ players..also well out of my level range. So hardcore early access, used my roulette-won KSG and again i won that match..you can ignore me bragging as i did not take screenshots to back this up.

Now my current stats :

Level 17
K/D 3.8
Accuracy 26.6%
Prokills: 10 (the hardest part of prokills at lower levels is not the killing but ammo management.)
Stormkills: 79
Weapons in my posession (had some incredible luck with discounts) : akms, glock, de, mk14 ebr cqb and TKPD (sniper box).
My skilltree : HERE

but now the most important stat : # of SP : 41
My 41 sp mean that eventho i am level 17, i should perform just as well as any average level 25-30ish player.

To be continued,

Finally an update regarding CW's Recode

|
Hey contractor,

Finally an update regarding CW's Recode...bloody lazy devs..oh wait, this is finally a onemanorgy update as well *ashamed*

ME first, MEMEMEEEE.

I have been suffering from a shoulder injury which prevented me from playing or even sitting at my pc, so yes, i have been away. but i'm back(-ish.)  This blog is not dead, yet. I say "yet" because i am currently planning on evolving this blog. Frankly the whole idea of "onemanorgy's" blog has left me with a feeling that i am constantly trying to suck my own wiener and then telling myself how nicely i suck. That's called "autofellatio" gentlemen and i'm not into that stuff.

My future plans are to move to a facebook community page (not group) and collect more people (veterans) who like to share their experiences and opinions regularly. So instead of one person writing his 5cents every blue moon, you will find a page much like the contract wars facebook page that will (if i can find the right people) function as a CW magazine and I'll be just one editor.

The page is far from done, and i cannot give you an estimate on when or even IF it goes live, but when it does, https://www.facebook.com/cwstacksblog will be the place to be but for the next while you will have to deal with me and my lazy ass, right here.

Enough about me...the Recode!

Our Community Manager (Nqss) has posted a bloody good post on Kongregate in which he responds to yet another "this needs to be fixed" post.

Once again, bugs are not simple to fix with current version.Try to imagine ball of differently colored yarn. You want to pick one color and you pull it and pretty much you pull whole ball. This is how game was programmed from start and i already explained, it was made originally by 5 studs (4 years ago). Right now, because we realise that this code is a complete waste of time and nerves, we are remaking it. So we would fix bugs and implement new features fasters, majority of our programmers are on it, because THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. There is no simple way of fixing this stuff, because it WILL provide bunch of new bugs or even make game completly unplayable. Here is some facts, sights / scopes were fixed couple times, but game still screwing them up again. There is nothing in code that could provide some bugs (it shouldn’t), but they appear.
So yeah, we are hoping for it alot. The new code defenetly would allow us to implement:Advanced weapon costumisation, with ability to use different handles and different animations with one weapon (and not creating new animation for each weapon/handle), with ability to move scopes back and forward on railAdvanced animation system overallAdvanced net code, with increased possabilities of what one server/room can handleNew gameplay features / gameplay changes are more easy and wont screw up the whole gameFaster way to implement and compile new contentEtc etc
We strive for that RECODE because even tasks that looks simple are a nightmare to fix with what we have. And it is not a branding, i just have to explain it again and again, as usually.
YES, scopes need fixes, YES, spawn system need improvements, YES, there must be a balance, YES, contract system needs to be reworked,YES, new maps needed (and those are in development), YES, new modes needed (and one is will be), YES, weapon costumisation and other cool stuff also developing.
What is my point? We are aware of all this, making another thread will just waste some time and nerves
Also regarding the time frame or estimate for the Recode to arrive :
We dont do promises because there might be some delays and what will happen, if there is appeared a problem or error, which provide couple more weeks or even month to do it.You would call us a liers thenHow long for the recode to be ended? Maybe 2 months + time to put the features CW have now to the new platform
Alright, this is valuable information, and it gives you a dead accurate description of the games current state. It also explains why many bugs are left unaddressed and not much more content is added. If you read between the lines, then i can only imagine that the "League" feature will be postponed until after the recode is done as well (i may be wrong but the text is leading me to believe that such a undertaking would too be a waste of time on the current code)

I'm so ultimately glad we had an update on the recode status i could shit rainbows but i hope we get more glimpses into the future without people going mad.

One thing to think about tho, the recode was announced to take 4-6 months, this was quite a while ago leaving me to believe that the 2+ months Nqss is talking about is wishful thinking... it will probably take (much) longer but he is totally right because the majority of the CW community cannot handle estimates. If he says 2 months, there are legions of people yelling "today, 2 minutes ago exactly the update should have been released..wheres the update"

A lot of young kids play cw, and young kids these days are damn vocal but do know how to mark their calenders so don't blame the devs for not mentioning  things in more detail.

Patience, folks... things can only get better!

UMP45 cool but..

|
When the UMP was announced, i figured it would be a low level credit gun but i was wrong. When the concept art was shown, showing an UMP45 with just a silencer, i figured this would be a GP weapon.

When the first screen shots appeared, i thought, cool, finally a new type of sight but why the hell does this thing come with an Osprey pistol silencer? Some googling then showed me that this is no pistol silencer and it is in fact available to the UMP45. Another oddity is that the Ump45 in the game has a 30 round magazine which is possible, yet very uncommon. All this makes me want to give the developers a lot of credit for not just copy pasting cooky cutter versions of guns but actually taking the time to come up with less common variations. Well played devs..well played! Restecp!

Okay, So, the UMP looks cool as fuck, but then screen shots appeared showing the collimator's true beauty and i got to admit, i got a funny feeling in my weenie. I'm usually a big eotech fan for my guns but damn...this collimator rocks, not only does it show well when using thermal vision, it also does not obstruct your view.

Soon after the screen shots, the first in game video's appeared and this got me even more curious, people were hip firing this thing and dropping people with ease. Furthermore, the videos showed that the UMP had a very easy wtask of only 10 triples. So, to make a long story short, i bought this gun the second it was available. And i tasked it... twice! (damn progress saving bug reset my wtask..thxdevs :p ).

So, the gun is pretty and has an awesome collimator, but is it any good?

To answer this, i have to give you my opinion about the game's current condition. I (mostly an evac player) am convinced that after the new level brackets Contract wars has become a battle of the dps. The higher dps a weapon has, the higher your KD Unless you are a pro shot (which I'm not). And i have been experimenting with the highest ranking dps guns.

The UMP's stats.

Accuracy can be pumped to 98% when tasked, this is enough (SR3M has worse accuracy but still rocks) The UMP45 is accurate enough to hip fire up to medium ranges.

Recoil, pretty high, but when firing in bursts, very manageable and when using firestab; very sweet! Since i decided to unlock firestab, a little recoil is something i actually like in my rifles.

Mobility and reload speed are very decent, but one should expect this from a SMG

DPS (damage and fire rate combined) is fairly low. I have tasked the gun and did some comparing on both evac and interchange, where i would get 2.5-3 K/D with the UMP, i would under the same conditions get a 4-7 K/D with my p90 Devgru or X95.

The range of the UMP45 is also very low. This being said however is that it's minimum damage is higher then the As VAL mod 3, Noveske and P90 Devgru and only 1 point less then the Sr3m, meaning that even at large range, this gun is still deadly, especially with damage buffs!

Penetration, is fairly high but this is needed to compensate for it's lack of dps. (yeah i know, i had el buffo del penetracìon.... rented it to speed up the wtask process. Penetration and even boosters dont appeal to me no longer since i'm extremely busy with other duties i perform for the CW community..these duties cause my buffs to expire without the chance of actively using them)

Wtask : 10 tripplekills, which mean 5 tripplekills with wtask mastery and this in return translates into 2 Banana's so this wtask is easy as hell! (unless you do them on TUR servers and find yourself stripped of all progress)

Conclusion : In the hands of a pro, this gun is extremely deadly, in the hands of a big old noob like me, this weapon is not the most ideal gun.
As i said before i am a firm believer that DPS is what you want and when it comes to dps: Sr3M > x95 > AsVal mod3 > P9devgru >= Acr-C >Noveske>mp7>9a-91>>>Ump45 (skipped a few weapons that had no silencer or are less popular or will litter your facebook account with false friends)

What does surprise me is the fact that this gun has a slightly better dps then the Vityaz. Sure the Vityaz mobility and reload speed are superior to the UMP's but compare the damage drop vs range of the Vityaz. No mobility or reload speed can make up for this huge loss of damage!
Also, the Vityaz has 1 recoil, making it a good weapon for people without firestab, but to those who know how to burst or have firestab, the UMP is superior. In fact, stats alone make me feel the UMP has made the Vityaz an obsolete weapon.

To me, the UMP will probably end up in my "toys" section and will not be the viable multipurpose weapon i hoped for. Mind you that the UMP in the hands of someone with better aiming qualities then me will most likely find this one powerful gun.

Call to arms : Exploiters, you will find them and you will kill them!

|
What i wanted to write to you about today, is the fact that recently there has been a increase of people exploiting bugs in CW. Numerous people have been found in places which are not meant to be accessed.

For example;

-Players camping inside rocks (Osm / Lighthouse)
-Players camping inside containers (several maps)
-Playing camping inside buildings that are merely decorative. (Classified)
-Outside Map area's (Classified)

These locations are not meant to be accessed, however, by using a glitch you are able to enter them. Most of these places have 1 thing in common. You can shoot people, but people cannot shoot you.

Exploiting means finding a glitch in the game and using it to gain an unfair advantage over other players. I hope you see that this is Cheating and the Contract Wars rules clearly say :

Bug use :
Players forbidden to use any software, program flaws, bugs to gain unfair advantage or/and self purposes.

This means that if you witness one of these adventurers, you can report them and they will be banned. If you see someone exploiting a bug, do not hesitate and take a few screenshots that undoubtedly show this person is exploiting a glitch. Also open your console by pressing ~ or F8 during a round and then type "list" This will show the UserID numbers of everyone on the same map.

Send your screenshots and the violators UserID to one of the testers, or send them in a private message to the moderators of the CW facebook group and the exploiters will receive a nice ban.

Oh and here's one of many screenshots that were posted, so hey Biohazard, smile, your on candid camera.

edit 29:7 , another fine upstanding rockdweller, Smile IMKURDSH you too will have some sparetime soon.
edit 30-7, IMKURDSH has gotten a small token of appreciation from the testers :

Summerbonus, the best bang for your buck!

|

HAI THAER CONTRACTOR, I IZ NOT DAED!

So you got your summer bonus and you are hellbent on buying a GP weapon with it. You decided that a GP weapon is more important to you then +15 accuracy or damage upgrades? then well read on, in this topic i will tell you which weapons will give you the best bang for your buck.

A few words of advice :

1: The top of the line guns will need more then a summer bonus. If you want the P90 Devgru, Noveske, Sks, Orsis or Ak12, you will have to save a little more because even with a discount, your summer bonus is most likely not sufficient to buy any of these.

2: Never, NEVER EVER EVER EVER fall for a discount. Plan on buying a gun, and wait for the appropriate discount. Do NOT take other guns into consideration when they come cheap. When you buy a pmm12 for a huge discount, you will regret this decision intensely when you notice the gun you really wanted is on discount but you can no longer buy it. It never hurts to sit patiently on your precious GP

3: Before dumping all your GP into a weapon, do NOT neglect the fact that there's still gold contracts to be done, take a good look at the upcoming contracts and see if there is a need to put away a little GP for progressing the gold contracts. IMO SP>>>>GP weapons so don't cut yourself off from the gold contracts tree.

4: Cheap pistols...cooooool, but you do 90% of your killing with a main hand weapon, so only buy a pistol if you are extremely confident you need it.

Well now, lets take a look at some guns you should really consider.

Shotguns.

Are you a shotgunnoob.. ehh shotgun player. Well. Go to hell.. eh my bad, sorry, i mean there's only the Keltec KSG. my advice : stay far away from it, it's useless compared to the Spas. It's cheap alright but it's not worth the GP IMHO. Instead use your GP on buying a "real" gun =)

Snipers.

The Orsis or SKS (sniper) would be the top for you but with it's 1100gp, a discount would still mean over 500gp, so keep saving if you truly want the Orsis.
There are however 4 alternatives :

1: DT SRS Sniper A very good gun, has decent mobility, and overall okay stats. But.. it has a w-task that requires you to play a lot with it.

2: EBR marksman rifle. This is not a sniper, and will not count towards sniper achievements but it acts as a sniper and a fine one as well. If you cant be bothered by wtasks, get this weapon. Also it has a crosshair so you can noscope as well.

3: TKPD sniper. If your the campy type, this is most likely your pick. Your mobility will take a hit, so a fast pistol is needed for moving across the map but once your there, you have amazing damage, a fire rate that's schweet as fuck for such a rifle and pretty decent range at your disposal.

Personally i have all snipers and i prefer any of these 3 over the orsis. (I'm the most shitty sniper so i hate bolt action)

Assault rifles and smg's

There's a lot of SMG's and AR's to choose from, and none of them are bad, However, only a handful are viable endgame options, those who i think are viable i will list.

1: ACR-C. With enough luck you just might be able to get this with a good discount. You can't go wrong with this baby but you have to understand this is a tweaked M4A1. If the M4A1 game play isn't your thing, this will also never become your favourite. Downside of this rifle, the silencer sounds like a series of really loose farts. Upside, with the right talents, you can shoot the dick of a fly straight off at large distances. However, one of the talents needed to achieve this is +15 acc which cost 95 GP...dilemma, dilemma.

2: AK74. This baby will benefit greatly from +15 acc as well, but it is so cheap that with the right discount you may be able to buy both. Confession : Since the new levelrestrictions i havent had time to play too much, so i haven't done a lot of pro kills as well. This gun allowed me one of the pro kills i did after the levelrestrictions (on evac) so... in my book, it's more then okay!

3: SR3M. Tier 2 but pro as hell..as in; got 99 problems but a VIP ain't one. Upsides, this gun spews death, it's a beast but when it's tasked it becomes death itself, even tho it's not 100 acc, you will find it much more accurate then stats suggest. And to me a major bonus is that the SR3M's sight actually enhance thermal vision a little instead of making it harder to see someone. Downsides: reloading takes a while, mobility isn't amazing, limited ammo + high fire rate means that if you want to do pro kills with it, you will have to become a pro as well. And another biggie, Pro guns need pro treatment, for maximising the SR3M you will have to tap into the gunsmith skills as well to enhance it. Also it's w-task of 70 tripplekills isnt too hard but it will take time. So yeah, this is one of the best guns in game but it needs the right mindset and talent build to maximise it's use.

4: These 2 are not my favourite, and i wouldn't recommend both of them but others are in love with one of the following guns : AKMS / G36C, if you prefer iron sights but still have a powerful rifle with an easy w-task, then the AKMS could be a good choice. IF you got the time and skill to poop out  100 tripplekils, and prefer a scope then you have to consider the G36C, it's pretty unique.

Well, these guns are all good and have a good value, especially since they can be free but to conclude things i would like you to consider one last option. Have you considered unbreaking one of your current weapons? I mean, both the X95 and Scar-H are extremely good guns of premium quality, making them unbreakable could be a really good option.

Orgy out.

Ps, i would like to thank my clanmates in OhMy and ofcourse you for motivating me back into writing.  Love you guys.. in a perfectly sane, no (overly) sexual kinda way :)

How to properly report a cheater / farmer or potty mouth.

|
Sorry for not writing much lately. Let me assure you that this isn't because i lost interest but because real life was owning me for the past weeks!

I recently tried to report someone for the use of extremely violent threats towards another player and my request got denied. Needless to say, i was a little upset and angry because i had a screenshot and all that showed the person did say it. The facebook moderator who helped me told me what he needed to report and after i gave it some thought it made sense to me... one line of vulgar language doesn't give any context. I know this wasn't the case but the player who used the vulgar language could have been provoked, so the evidence wasn't sufficient.

So, you seen a hacker/potty mouth and now your seeking to get his ass banned. Well good for you but before you make a fool out of yourself, there is some things you need to know.

rules for reporting:

1: You need the cheaters nickname AND UserID. (Only a UserID will show ones true identity)
2: You need some evidence or material that shows illegal actions or reasonable doubt.
3: Never publicly report players. (contact the CW staff on Kong or Facebook in a PRIVATE!! message!!)

If the above rules are not met, no action is taken. (and point 3 could even get you in big trouble, especially on kongregate!)

common misconceptions about banning / cheating / etc.

- Very high score. This is not a hack but it's boosters, possibly the 500gp boosterpackage.
- Very high K/D. This is not a hack but a skilled player who has a tailor fit set of talents that make him even more deadly
- Very high kill count. This is not a hack but a skilled player.
- Tier 5/6 Premium gun on low levels. This is a person who either spend a whole lot of gp or more likely : someone who won it in roulette.
- Player doesn't die from head shots. This is lag (high pinger), shotguns, sniperrifles and other low firerate weapons are the first to suffer from this.
- Player knows where the enemy team is where it just spawned somewhere else. This is not a hack per se, many players know how to predict spawns.
- Player moves a number of meters. It looks like he rapidly moves from point to point. This is packet loss.

The above "could" be the result of hacking, but in 99.9% of all cases this is not the fact, thats why asking for a ban with one of the above reasons will result in nothing. Evidence or reasonable doubt is needed for any investigation.

Types of hacks and the chance of you encountering them:

Wallhack. very low probability, several wallhacks have been banned allready. ( http://vk.com/wall-21974398_5391 )
Radarhack. very low probability however these have been created and stopped so chances are that a new one could surface.
Aimbot. ZERO probability. I'm not saying that its not possible to create an aimbot, I'm just telling that it takes a whole lot more then some cheatengine tampering to create a working aimbot and so far not a single aimbot has surfaced.
Godmode. ZERO probability. The server determines whether you live or die, no client side hack can save you from the server's wrath!

So, you read and understand the above, now it's time to go out and be the games residential vigilante.

Console.

The console is accessed by pressing ~ or F8 while in the game. when you press it, a screen will drop down. The console has an event log, who says what and who kills who. There is 2 things you can use the console for.
1: Determine the UserID of a suspicious player. This can be done by entering the command; "list"
2: Catching someone who's using obscene language. the console shows the chatlog, screenshots of this log are needed for a report.

Screenshots.

The default key to make screenshots is f5. Many people have disabled CW from posting things on their facebook so in some cases we need other ways to make screenshots. The easy way is to press PrtScr on your keyboard while the game is NOT in fullscreen mode. Then a screenshot is added to your clipboard. You can open MSPaint and paste the clipboard-screenshot and save it. applications like lightshot, fraps and bandicam also allow you to make screenshots.

Movies - The best evidence is shown on video,

Well for starters screenshots will often do, but when you accuse someone of radar/wallhacking, movies will make much more sense. Screenshot's can not capture people having prior knowledge to the position of other players. Only a video of someone looking though walls, or other suspicious behaviour can expose someone.

Fraps and bandicam are widely used, and bandicam allows you to make video's without having to pay, but there are even more alternatives; http://www.frapsalternative.com/

#1 tip : Have your fraps/bandicam loaded at all times so when you see someone you dont have to switch back to windows and load it. (and possibly miss out on great evidence)

conclusion;

I admit, reporting someone does take the need for you to become Sherlock Holmes, but you can imagine that if someone is to be punished it calls for some discretion. CW staff wouldn't go out risk loosing a customer over a ban that's not backed by solid evidence.

The inevitable IWI X95 review

|
First of all i have to admit to you that for the purpose of reviewing the X95 i have unlocked the W-Task of the X95 by buying it. (The W-task of the x95 is only 30 Triples so it's easy enough, but i was too impatient and the unlock was pretty cheap.

The X95 is rumoured to outperform the P90 Devgru. The fact that the Devgru has reappeared on VK does suggest that the developers now feel that the Devgru has a good credit counterpart. Let us compare the stats of the weapons. (I'm comparing the tasked x95 with the devgru)

Accuracy.

x95 wins by a hair.

Recoil.

Devgru is the obvious winner, but still has 12 recoil. What does this tell us? Well, if you got firestab, the x95 would probably cause it to kick in more rapid, thus in case of firestab, x95 should be favourite. If like me you don't use firestab you will have to become either a burstmaster or instead use the Devgru.

Damage.

WAIT WAT?..X95 beats the Devgru by a whole 10 points? Unbelievable.

Firerate.

P90 wins by a hair. BUT, taking the extra damage of the x95 in consideration, the X95 wins in terms of dps.

Mobility.

Devgru wins but the x95 doesn't feel sluggish so that will not spoil the fun.

Reload speed.

Again the x95 wins.

Ammo capacity.

Both have the same number of magazines, but the devgru has 20 bullets/mag more, making the Devgru the better choice for ammo preservation for prokills.

Penetration.

And yet again; the x95 wins, so if headshots are not your thing, then x95 it is.

Range.

Well...x95...holy shit, i cant even grasp, just look at this. the Range of the x95 simply RAPES that of the devgru. Where the devgru ends, the X95 is only starting to drop down.

Collimator.

This is not a stat but for the purpose of comparing these weapons i have to say the the collimator on the x95 is a mepro sight. Some love it but due to its enormous red dot it's not very fit for sniping med range distances. Furthermore, Mepro sights conflict with thermal vision, making it even harder to aim. IMO the collimator on the devgru is way more accurate and wins by far.

In conclusion,

In terms of damage the x95 is better then the devgru and i think it's safe to say that the devgru has gotten some serious competition from a credit gun. This is a victory for all freeloaders and froobs and making the "GPguns are OP"- whinage irrelevant!

Orgy out!

My Skillbuild

|
Currently there is a post on the Contract Wars facebook group in which a player explains his skill build and the Contract Wars staff is daring people to post theirs. Well, i completely disagree to the skill build in the video and i will share and explain my skill build.

My main philosophy behind my skill build is :

-Main hand first / Offhand is not important.
-Make sure you can hit someone (ACC / REC)
-Hit Someone harder (DMG)
-Make sure someone does not kill you (+Health +Armor +utility)
-Make life more comfortable (Faster reload speed, more mobility, extra bullets)

(I'm usually playing aggressively with either AsValMod3 or noveske silenced. It's AR's for me, no snipers, no shotguns, no LMG's. just AR's and sometimes SMG's)

Scout tree :

My scout tree is pretty plain, i like the 3 mobility and +5 reload speed. I'd love to go further into the scout tree but this would cause reload speed of some of my weapons to become too low because of the destroyer skill that increases your reload speed for slow weapons. The pistol part of the scout tree to me is BS, if i had an endless supply of SP, I'd gladly spend it here but i do most of my killing with my main hand weapon, so investing in an offhand improvement is useless to me.

most important skills : none, they are all utility and not mandatory.

Assault tree :

The Assault tree is also my class, so most of my skill points are invested in this tree. You can see i work my way down to the AS Val MOD3 but skip the skill that reduces falling damage. The best solution to prevent falling damage is : DON'T FALL. You don't need a frigging skill that saves your ass from taking damage for a mistake you shouldn't have made in the first place. When you learn your maps, you will learn safe ways to drop down and not take damage so this skill is useless.
As for the armor. I think 60 armor is sufficient to have. I have 40 armor but another 20 armor from clanskills so that's why i took 20 less armor from the scout tree after my last respec.

most important skills : -5 recoil / damage buffs.

Destroyer tree :

I spend SP in the destroyer tree for 2 main purposes: Getting more ammo for prokills and even more important -15 recoil.
Odd things about my build : I don't use a lot of grenades, but i think damage reduction for grenades is a lifesaver so i unlocked that and invested 3 more sp in order to get the grenade. If in a future skill reset i desperately need 3 extra skill points, then i will drop the grenades.
Another oddity is the absence of Firestab. I believe everyone when they say that Firestab rules. But still i don't unlock it. Why? Firestab promotes spraying, if i get this to PWN in Contract Wars, i may become a sprayer and handicap myself in future fps games I'm going to play. So no firestab for me. I might one day take it tho and if you are flexible then you should really consider taking it.

Most important skills : -7 rec / -15 Recoil / additional ammo.

Sniper tree :

To me the most important skill is in the sniper tree: + 15 Accuracy. The +15 accuracy is my main goal in the sniper tree as this is mandatory for getting your guns to 100 accuracy. The dynamic shooting skill is on the path to +15 accuracy, it's nice and this skill causes me to always walk when i fire for more accuracy. The sniping operator skill (faster switching to sights) is on the path too, but i wouldn't call this an important skill. Now, i took the attention I skill because it rocks. When you take fire, you will see from what direction you've been hit. This may not sound useful at first but once you get to know this skill...you will rely heavily on it. It rocks.

Most important skills : +15 Accuracy / +7 Accuracy

Gunsmith tree :

As for the gunsmith tree : screw everything besides the updates to the right. True, 25 mortars can be useful, but these don't match my game style for the same reason as i don't use grenades...i forget that i have airstrikes waiting ;) Now those little skills to the right are your ticket to tweak your guns just that extra bit. I took just enough of these skills to get most of my weapons to my desired 100/1 status.

Most important skills : The skills that can make your main hand go 100/1, no more, no less.

To clan or not to clan: Stuff to think about before starting a clan.

|
So you want to be a clan leader? You want to have the best damn clan Contract Wars has to offer? Well hold on to your horses for one moment here and think about some things first. Starting a clan is easy, but building one is hard. In fact, keeping it progressing and growing will be a real challenge!

The most important thing before you sign up your own clan is to realise that it is currently not easy to delete your clan. If your clan fails, for whatever reason, then the only speedy option to end it is to make someone else (or an alt) clan leader and leave the clan. Signing over leadership will cost you 50 GP BUT since you can transfer 200gp MINIMUM to the clan's account, it will take 200GP to be able to leave your clan. If you don't have access to GP, then you can send a pm to the contract wars staff on Facebook or Kong with your IGN (in game name / nickname), your Player ID and a screen shot that proves that you are the clan leader. This method is free, but clan disbanding is a low priority thing to the developers so it can take a long time before your request is honoured. If you cannot buy GP then i would strongly urge you to think the whole clan idea over thoroughly and possibly join an existing clan.

I have been a clan leader in many games, i had good clans, bad clans and even amazing clans yet i found starting and building a Contract Wars clan many times more difficult then every other game i have previously played. Eventually i felt my efforts were wasted and i left my own clan to join OhMy. A decision i will not regret as OhMy offers me everything i was trying to establish with my clan in the first place (being amongst skilled and more important : dedicated players). So i kinda failed as a clan leader, and i had the GP to correct the mistake. The reason i write this topic is not to demotivate you but to make sure you know what your getting into.

Main question you have to ask yourself : Is "being the boss" really the most important aspect of the game to you or is being amongst cool, possibly like minded people more important? Even though my personal status was not the reason i founded a clan, I'm man enough to admit that being in an existing clan gives me infinite more pleasure then when i was struggling to get my own clan going.

Currently there's over 6000 clans, and IMO, at least 5500 of them will not make it, you think you can make a difference? Possibly you will but remember..at least 99% of these clans would also recruit your target audience...making the competition extremely hard.

Fact : People want clan skills, people want to level, no one is happy about donating and yet almost everyone demands clan skills.
As a clan leader the above is something you have to deal with every day. people come and go because when they join, don't see any skills and leave just as hard.

The cheapest clan skill is roughly 4mil clan credits and if you go and look at the clan rankings in CW you will notice that clans with "possibly" 1 clan skill start to appear in the top 150. Meaning you will have to collect about 4-5 million XP before you get a single skill!. Clans with more then 1 skill start appearing in the top 100 and clans who offer more, if not most skills are limited to the top 20.

now take a look at the top 20, these clans have multiple skills. Sure, clans like OhMy, 1337 and FEAR are recruiting players with higher then average skill only but there are also top 20 clans that are not that strict. (Figa etc.) Do take into consideration that if you want to have access to clan skills, you can join a top20 clan.. it's not impossible to get there but it will be a huge obstacle in getting your own clan going (why would anyone settle for your clan when they can have skills already?).

Are clan skills that important?
Before i joined OhMy i would say no, but now i got access to some clan skills i have to say yes, as my game has improved quite a bit so yeah...Clan skills are not groundbreaking, and without them i wouldn't suck either but they sure are nice to have access to. So don't blame people for wanting access to clan skills instead of helping you to get them for your clan. It's only human nature.

My personal opinion on starting a CW Clan : Don't start a clan unless you already represent a group of people on which you can count to donate both XP,CR and also GP! For example A number of DR members split from DR to form LeGcW, the reasoning behind this is their business but they started as a group with a clear goal and currently are in the top 20 already. Together they achieved this in an amazing tempo. Same goes for clan RONIN, disbanded, reformed and top 20 already

Another option could be a national clan. If CW becomes popular in your country, then chances are people will want to join a national clan. Clans like IND, PINOY, FiTH, ARABS, ITALY, OGG can rely on the fact that people of their countries would want to join them to be amongst country(wo)men.
In fact...national and regional Clans make up the larger part of the top 50 clans! Do the math..profit!

Also : Never start a clan for your desired status. People want to invest time into friends and family and not to make you the coolest guy in CW.

Conclusion : Don't think too lightly of starting a clan, if you're sure you got what it takes then by all means ; proceed but if there's only a spark of doubt in you : DON'T and think it over really hard. This may sound harsh, but think of this : I'm level 63, and if i didn't attempt to start a clan, i would have been level 65 by now! (that's the amount of xp i wasted on my attempt!)

Gold Contract #7 : 20 doublekills with the Glock18

|
So, contractor, you thought doing some rage kills in old sawmill was hard? Well, then you haven't met this contract yet.

Gold contract #7 will most likely be in your list unfinished for some time. Is it hard? yes, but it's doable. Mind you, this is the first contract that is very, very tempting to start farming, but don't.. I've got quite some footage of people farming this Glock contract. it's a hard contract but it's nothing to risk a ban for.

The Glock.

The Glock is a sweet pistol, and it has an amazing firing speed and omgwtflike mobility, however, it's damage is very low, so killing someone with a full clip can be done easily, but killing 2 people with one magazine is a challenge. So for this contract, it's head shot or fail time.

Also, the Glock is a premium gun, making this contract a very good way to loose your precious GP on. My advice, if you want to spend GP on the game, buy the Glock...if you don't, Do this contract only when you have a lot of time to play. Worst case scenario is that you spend 5+ hours to complete this contract.

How to make this contract a little more easy?, Credit players can only suffer through this, GP players should really consider renting the contract expert skill, as this will lower the count to 10 double kills. Renting the extra grenade can be helpful as well.

Maps.

To me there are 3 maps that are most suited for the job; Evac, Bay5 and Station. In Evac many spawns happen right in front of you. True, spawn killing isn't the most Honourable thing to do, but farming is a lot less Honourable. Bay 5 is good for a different tactic: toss a grenade, hope you kill someone and kill someone with the Glock. (for a double kill only the weapon that does the second kill counts) Station can be done by camping the roof, throwing a grenade into a spawn point and then shoot someone (and hope the grenade kills a freshly spawned player). Station sadly is only played on lower levels, you will find nearly no filled high level servers.

The best tip i can give you however : Equip only your Glock when you go into the game. When your KD drops, you might be tempted to switch to another gun, having only a Glock prevents this. Oh...and do head shots...nothing but head shots.

Another tip ; this is for the credit players : When you finish the contract, keep playing the Glock, and finish the Glock 200 head shots achievement. It's only a 7000cr reward, but it's probably your only chance on getting this achievement.

Well..no pretty camp spots and pictures for this post, you'll just have to endure this one.

Orgy out!

PS, got to admit, this is the first post on which i noticed a spell checker included in blogger, i hope you appreciate the decreased amount of typo's

Wtasking the Noveske.

|
( disclaimer : since my last topic on prokills, i've done a total of 42 pro's , i now know how to do them regularly but 42 still doesn't make me an expert on the matter! )

Despite many people calling the noveske a noobweapon i have to admit that it is my favorite gun. I got a Noveske, tasked, and i love it. Do you think i'm a noob for using it : Be my guest! I like it and i really disagree to the noobstatus of the gun. The stats on the noveske are good, but not even close to OP and even now that the ACR-C is getting more popular then the noveske...i still love it.

Funny thing is, i remember the first time when i encountered the noveske and from that point on i wanted one. The first time i got killed by a noveske was on bridge and i think i was level 10-20. Some guy had the tasked one and he was camping his spawnpoint but none of my (allso lowlevel) teammates was able to kill him. At some point i thought "imma gonna grab that gun of yours and stick it up your behind" and when the match ended i left the game and went looking for it on the webz.

The second i reached level 50, i bought it and it was not even a bonus, so badly i wanted one. Shortly thereafter i found out that the noveske wasn't actually a wonderweapon. Sure it's mobility and reloadspeed was amazing but i plainly sucked with it because i kept loosing visual on targets when using the collimator. Boy did i suck..

Now, my heart nearly stopped when i read about the 15 prokill wtask, how was i ever supposed to do that? and i gave up on the WTASK idea.... untill one day i was doing a great match with my P90Devgru on Evac. By that time i had gained a little more insight in the game and i was allready burstfiring the Gru. Suddenly during that match i managed to make a prokill, and after that match, i noticed the same people still hanging around, so i thought ; can i do this with the noveske as well? To my big suprise i did. Not only did i get a prokill on my noveske, i allso managed to do 2 prokills on the same day. For the first time in my carreer. That was the moment i thought : i'm going to task it!

It took me some time figuring out how to operate it correctly but when i did i succeeded more and more but still it took me quite a while and i have to admit : My first prokill in OhMy, was the last prokill needed for the WTASK. Since then i done some adjustments in the gunsmith tree and now i love it even more. In fact, if you see me using something other then the Noveske on EVAC, then you know that i'm finding much resistance and i'm finding alternative ways to improve my KDR.

Now recently Contractor "Tovarich" posted this request in the comments so i be happy to share some of my experiences with it :

"I'm not a bad player (lvl 59), I have a positive kdr (growing) but I am unable to do prokills with noveske :/
Could you give me some tips or tricks to try to get it? I love the noveske and I think greatly improve performance if I can do the noveske task. (Plz, forgive my bad english!)"

Do read my guide on prokills as well! But also realise that Doing a prokill with the noveske is no different then making a prokill with the M4a1..so when you think doing a prokill with a gun like the Noveske is easy, then your wrong.

#1 stats.

When attempting prokills with the noveske you want it to have stats like in the above picture. 98 Accuracy and 9 Recoil are a must. If you have lower accuracy or higher recoil, you will be wasting a lot of precious ammunition! Besides ACC and REC, you will have to unlock BOTH damage upgrades from the Assault tree and the 2x extra magazine skill from the destroyer tree. If your stats dont match the picture then you might want to browse THIS blog for my topic on a "good" skillbuild

#2 Sidearm.
The Noveskes ammo is limited. With the 2 bonus magazines Destroyer skill you get 7 mags. 7x30= 210 bullets. 210 bullets/20 kills = 10.5 bullets you can use per kill. 10.5 sounds like more then enough, but when playing, you will sometimes panic, you will miss, someone will steal your kill, so 10.5 per kill is not a whole lot. Therefor, sometimes you will have to use your sidearm as well. What Sidearm you choose is totally up to you, but you will have to choose the one that you can rely on to make kills. I prefer the GSH, but during my WTASK-sessions i switched to my glock18, because the glock needs prokills as well, and i tend to end up wit no ammo for my Noveske every now and then. So i when i screwed up my ammoconsumption i made some lucky prokills for my glock as well.

#3 Bursts.
When you want a tasked noveske, your days as a sprayer will have to end. 10.5 bullets per kill remember? So : No firestab for you!, control yourself, and take time to learn how to burst! This will take quite a toll on your KD ratio but from now on you will have to fire in bursts. Take time to practice killing people with as small bursts possible..

(HERE's a video showing when to burst, when to spam and when to use semi auto. I gotta admit, i don't use
semi auto, because i end up using the same amount or even more ammo then a burst to kill someone. Furthermore, try to make your burst count and do practice to do them as short as possible)

Another reason to burst is the fact that the noveske has no silencer (duhh) and is pretty noisy. Firing in small bursts will make you harder to find.

#4 Gold.
You can opt to rent some skills to make it less hard to do a prokill. You can rent additional DMG buffs and the "W-TASK expert" skill from the Carreerist tree is usefull too (when your allready familiar with doing prokills). I rented it at some point. Sadly, now i'm improving, i think i wasted money on that one because prokills come more easy now.

#5 Map's
I did my prokills on either Parkside or in EVAC. (OSM is a good option too but i dont know OSM like i do EVAC)

Doing prokills in parkside means 0-70 parkside, hoping you're among all level 0's and when theres high level players, you either make them ragequit or avoid them. (Sounds easier then it is, but you get used to it.) At all times; remember that you're here for prokills and not to get your ass kicked by people from topclans. When theres too much resistance..move to another server. Even if you get no prokills, you will recover from your KD drop from your bursting adventures in here pretty fast.

Doing Prokills in EVAC means 20-70 or 30-70 EVAC and hoping your team doesnt suck. In evac you will ignore the vips and your team. Is your team defending the paths to the chopper?...is the enemy trying to rush the stairs to the chopper?... good, you be standing near the garage, shooting them from behind. Your team are not your buddies, your team is an instrument which you use to gain an advantage. Flank the enemy and dont be where the action is. Your a wolf, dont run into the herd to snatch a sheep, stay on the outer edges of the map, scooping up stray sheep. (20-70 evac attracts a lot of high end gamers wanting to do some noobstomping...30-70 can often be more effective in getting prokills)

#6 Aiming
The collimator on the Noveske sucks, its way to small and its possible to loose visual on your target. In other words you can loose someone when looking at him. When you have stats like mentioned in #1, you will find that the crosshair of the Noveske is dead-accurate as well, so in theory you can forget about using the collimator. Personally i use the collimator only on near-stationary targets in longer ranges. So, you are camping the area with the chopper in evac and someone is camping the garage roof? if he's not covering behind the sandbags, the crosshair will do, but when he's crouching behind the sandbags and only the top of his head sticks out, then the collimator can be an option. Also : when firing allways press the shift (walk) key for extra accuracy.

#7 Clanskills
Having access to thermalvision or extra magazines, more armor and such can make your life a lot more easy, so if you have access to those, be thankful. That being said, i did only my last prokill needed to finish the task when i was in OhMy, the rest of the kills i did with only the +5 health clanskill. So clanskills; nice but not mandatory.

In conclusion:

If you want to task the noveske (or do prokills with any other gun), you need time to really study how you can improve, what are your strongpoints and weaknesses. It's not just a matter of loading a map and start doing prokills, it's about adjusting to the guns weaknesses in order to maximise your performance and you will notice that once you start getting prokills, they will happen more and more and take less effort.

Furthermore, prokills are a game within a game...think about it, when it's prokills your after, you will have to play the game different. When playing this little game; teams become tools, Vip's become beacons, and you will have to find ways to use and abuse players that are doing their regular thing.

Getting the noveske tasked will take time and is difficult at first but : If i can do it, so can you!

Orgy out!

Gifts.

Contractor!

One thing that is very obvious by now; the internet is full of greedy, demanding people.

Everytime Contract Wars is making a milestone and is throwing in gifts, the whole community is like "GIMME FREE GP...5000...1000...FREE GP..i nedd fre GPZzz for nveskeplz....GIMMEGIMME"

For these milestones, all you had to do is press the "like" button, that's it, 1 click and your done doing your part. Now, pressing the like button, is that something worth GP? Really?

Now lets take a look at the word "gift" in the dictionary : "something voluntarily transferred by one person to another without compensation" in other words, you get something thats initiated by the giving party... Odd thing is, no amount of GP will make people happy, while our dad's are the most happy people on earth when you give them their yearly set of birthday socks. Life lesson : be thankful for whatever it is you get!

This week, the milestone of 400k likes was reached, and the GP whining started for the Nth time, last time we got 50gp and i don't expect any gp gift higher then this to be given ever again.

Q: Why no (big) GP gifts? Is is because the devs are asses?
A: No, i really think that the devs wouldn't mind giving a couple of 100 gp for free. It's players who are the asses. For example; a 200gp gift. Most people would say "jeezguyse thnx for teh gp" ... but a smaller part of the community thinks " 1x new character=100gp, 100gp+200gp=300gp...100x new character=30000gp .. now lets start a new clan and make 100 new characters" ... well, stuff like this will happen .. Do you still think free GP is a good idea?

SP gifts would be nice as well, but the devs are allready working on redesigning SP that can be bought or gained via the now gone "skill specialist" skill. Purpose of this probably is to make sure every player, paying or not, should have access to the same SP pool, so skill cannot be bought. A SP gift now, would mean a disadvantage to players who start lateron, so i doubt you will ever be given SP. (perhaps 1...roulette wheel can do it as well)

Now what would be good gifts? (this is purely speculation from my own perspective.)

* Xp buff for a limited amount of time. (i hope to see more of these. Last christmas's double xp was sweet as hell)
* Free carreerist buff (well minus the profile blocking =) )
* Free Skillresets (optionally with 100% gp or even cr refund.)
* A new map. (Do gifts have to be something you can physically own or would any token of appreciation do?)

I dont think giving free weapons away is a good gift, one player gets a P90Devgru, and the other gets the pmm12. Don't get me wrong here, the pmm12 is a sweet little pistol but, you can imagine a lot of dissapointment.

Anyway, whatever it is, i'm thankful for it. The pm gift we received last time cracked me up so hard that i kept on lolling at all the dissapointed and angry comments...this was one of the best gifts EVER.

Orgy out.

Gold Contract #3 : 5 Ragekills on the old sawmill DM Map

|
Hello Contractor, besides the usual stuff, from now on i will post my 5cents about completing some contracts as well. I hope you enjoy.

Gold contract #3 to most people is the first real challenge because you will have to make longer killstreaks than your probably used to. This is the first contract that requires effort. Difficulty is that OSM-DM isn't the friendliest map, it's small and has very limited vision. For increasing your kd, i wouldn't reccomend to play osm-dm at all, but hey, contract #3 forces us in here so lets make the best out of it.

If you are an average player, then running and gunning on OSM-DM will not do because there's too many suprises awaiting you in the bushes. So what we need to do is: Camp. We got to find ourselves a pretty little spot that we can tactically use against everyone else and luckily there are quite some good spots to hide. In this miniguide i shall cover 2 good spots.

What do we need for OSM-DM? If you want to try the contract while running and gunning, i'd say bring the izh, but when you want to go and camp, we need something more stealthy. The mp5sd6 would be perfect, but i'm afraid that by now your mp5sd6 is allready expired so we got to find an alternative. We need it both silenced and accurate so imo, the right gun for this job would be the tasked KAC-PDW (assuming you only have 2 weapon tiers unlocked). I done this with my silenced AKMS.

Now there are several good places to camp, but to me theres 2 sweet spots where 1 is good and 2 is amazing.

The first spot, Camping behind the barn. The barn has 2 doors and 2 holes, one in the front and one in the back. Camping in outside the hole in the back can give you an edge as you will have many players incoming from the left. A good spot, but be aware, as you are camping outside, players can spawn inside (on top of the right hand stairs). The door to your left is rarely visited, because players will have to cross open terrain to get there, but some do, so be aware.

The other spot is outside the radar station. Theres a sweetspot where you can be partially covered by bushes, hard to find, i did my ragekills here EFFORTLESS. Big deal here is to be a stealthy as possible and then kill your enemy in just a small burst. Too much ratata and and you'll give your position away. Camp here, do 5 kills...move away, kill some more and die...but don't die nowhere near the campspot. Also, dont try to do a prokill here because people will catch on before your reach 15/20.

Hey guys..enjoy : orgy out!

Welcome back, contractor.

Welcome back Contractor.

It's been some time, the clanrace is over and like i promised, i'm back. I'm working on new stuff for you to read but for now i'll like to keep it brief and fill you in on the events that happened over the past couple of weeks.

First of all, i got sick fighting a lost cause with my clan; 6six6. I had a clear goal in mind of gathering a group of skilled players who were dedicated in building the clan. Sadly all i got was level 1's or people with very bad KDR's. For every 3 people i invited, 1 was kicked for inactivity, 1 for unwillingness to donate and 1 left because we didn't have a lot of clanskills.

At that time i was trying to validate my own guide on "prokills", while tasking my noveske,v when an OhMy member noticed me and asked me about my stats. He mentioned that my stats were meeting the requirement to join OhMy so i thought...enough with pulling dead weight and i signed over 6six6 to a buddy of mine and Left.

I followed the OhMy recruitment procedure and was totally critical about my skills, absolutely honest about my intentions and as a result of this (i think) i was voted into the next part of OhMy's recruitment procedure, an interview and a tryout. I must say, i had a rought night before the tryout so i wasn't that fit so during the tryout i got my ass handed to me by NVR4GET bigtime. Despite of the asswhooping i received, i became an OhMy member and i'm liking it more and more...

So, first day in OhMy i finished my W-Task for my Noveske and the day after all hell breaks loose..Clanrace. Since i'm dedicated to any clan i have ever been in, i decided to give it all i got, especially since i now have access to the clanskills OhMy has to offer. Those skills have been earned by other people and not by me, so absolute dedication to the clanrace is my way of saying "appreciate the skills, let me return the favor!" in the end, i managed to donate roughly 1m xp to the clanrace.

Well, we all know Fear won, Figa came in second, and we finished third. third place imo is a good spot as we finished "close" to Figa and we got about 1200 members less. We managed to get within 10m range of Figa. Fear's score however is totally something else. They didn't get disqualified, so my opinion doesn't really matter but i do urge the CW crew to keep a close eye on them in the next clanrace. (that score + this history is imo very suspicious)

Well enough about clanchanges, clanraces and all.

Another fun thing happened to me. For a while now, i have an alternate facebook account that i use to post on facebook groups like contract wars players and contract wars clans. On contract wars clans i have been on a crusade to stop the number of hacks that are posted there and to my suprise suddenly i was made admin of that group.

So, with my newly found powers i cleaned up every hack/spam/scam thread and message, banned roughly 10 scammers and to my suprise:...drumroll...I got kicked as an admin. I banned the guy that hijacked TNI clan and this is my reward lol. Now i didn't ask to be promoted to admin, so i'm totally cool with not being an admin but what bothers me is that this group allows Scam to be posted in order to attract people. The Facebook group Contract Wars - Clans ^-^ is a stain on the CW community and i urge you NOT to subscribe to that group. (at least if you value your account, as the hacks posted are nothing more then elaborate ways to steal your account)

Well, thats it for the moment, like i said, i got multiple (unfinished) posts lined up for you. See you shortly!

Just a short HI from me.

It's been quiet the last week on this blog. I can assure you that i'll be back shortly. After april 7th to be precise.

Recently i parted from 6six6 and moved on to OhMy, and since there's currently a clanrace i need to do my part in the race, so currently i'm busy gaming instead of writing

After april 7th, i'll return but for now.....must....frag....moARRRR!

See you ingame!

The Full Auto Saiga, the day skill took a day off.

|
Hello Contractor,

Ever since the announcement of the implementation of the Full auto Saiga there have been a lot of speculation about how OP it would be. Well now it's here for a while and I'm glad that thusfar I haven't encountered it excessively but one of my personal predictions seem to slowly come true, where at first I expected some 1337 members to buy it for trolling and video purposes I expected a second wave of absolutely unskilled people who got infected by the jitters of pro players raping with it.

Sooo there have been surfacing vids of people raping with the FAS. Among them are some highly skilled players making this gun look OP as hell. But is it OP?

I would like to make clear that I have every gun that can be bought in this game except for any of the SPEC weapons, meaning I don't have a Full Auto Saiga and this post is made up purely out of speculation, eating buckshot and finding ways to counter them.

The Full Auto Saiga is the special weapon from the Assault Skill-Tree and cost 4 Skillpoints, 350.000 Credits and a whopping 1055 GP. 1055 GP that is an insane amount, but is it really worth that much? And to answer this question, I think the best approach is to compare the stats of the FA Saiga to the regular Saiga.

As you can see, the Full auto is a stunning 1point more accurate. Tbh, I wouldn't care if it was 100 accurate as accuracy has no effect on buckshot. No shotgun benefits from ACC unless it's tasked and shoots slugs. This means that recoil isn't an issue either both versions have the same recoil.

Now as for damage, the regular saiga does 10 more damage then the Full auto version. So in terms of damage, the vanilla saiga wins. (damage, not dps! Damage output of the FAS is much, MUCH higher)
When it comes to firerate, the FAS is the clear winner, but we don't need stats to tell us the obvious. However, anyone who ever used the saiga knows that eventhough it's semi automatic, you can "somewhat" spam it. SO yes, the FAS fires faster therefore has higher DPS, but will burn through ammo faster too.
When it comes to mobility, the Vanilla Saiga also wins.
Now, as for ammo capacity. The Full auto saiga comes with 40 shells more then the Vanilla version, it has to, because you will waste more ammo due to it's firing rate as well.
Both guns have the same penetration and the FAS has a whopping 5 meters extra maximum range. So that poor bastard who was always 5 meters outside of your reach will now be toast...right.

For the receiving end of the saiga it will not matter much which version of the saiga shot them, it's still a noob unloading his noobcannon onto you. Psychologically however, the FAS might have a panicking effect where the mere presence of the FAS could demotivate the opposite team.

Do I think it's a good gun?

No, I hate the vanilla saiga because it takes about 0 skill to operate, and the FAS does require even less skill to operate. In fact any moron with half a brain should be able to pwn with it. So no, no skill involved; 0/10 - would not use.

Do I think it's an OP gun? I hate to call guns OP, because frankly overall their well balanced and every pro comes with a con...The Full Auto saiga is the first gun which I think is OP (in the right hands), furthermore the price of the damn thing is rocksolid evidence that the devs feel the same way, you have to invest hugely into getting one. The Saiga FA's price functions merely as a filter so that not every noob would go on a rampage with this and render CW a joke.

Do I think it's worth the GP?

No, if it was only GP, I would have considered purchasing one with mere trolling in mind but it takes 4 skillpoints and skillpoints are far more valuable then GP. I would not ever spend 4 gp on a weapon for just trolling purposes.

How to counter a Full-auto noob?

The top con of the full auto saiga is it's absolutely horrible loud noise, you will know there's a FASnoob on the server by hearing it, way before getting killed by it. When the map allows it, you have plenty opportunity to flank and either buttrape them or take them on from a safe distance.

The second downside is it's range. Sure, when you meet a FASnoob headon at close to medium ranges, chances are close to 99.9% that you're in for a fresh respawn. Exploit his noise to gain distance between you and him and abuse his long range weakness.

Conclusion;

I don't think we will see massive use of Full Auto Saigas, perhaps temporary, but in the long run..no, except for the occasional troll wanting to cause butthurt. Or a truly pathetic noob who cares more for kills then for his reputation. When you get killed by players like mattiareza or vineeth of 1337, you can moan and cry but you should really recognize the fact that even if they were carrying a banana they would have probably killed you as well, they use it for fun, and not because they need it.
Now, true noobs (not going to shame here by writing names i have thusfar encountered) will be annoying, even more then ordinary shotgunnoobs but they will reverse advertise for this gun because decent and good players will deal with them nonetheless. (what good would a 1000gp gun do if you don't even finish first?)

*FACT* 95% of all shotgun users suffer from TPS (Tiny Penis Syndrome)

I think we have to make a fist against the FAS, if you read this text, promise me that whenever you have a higher score then a FASnoob, that you make sure to write something in the likes of; "my god, the most op gun in the world and still a lousy score"... that should put them in place.
